Frequently Asked Questions What are You Curious About?

General Questions

MyPictureCard allows you to customize the design that appears on the front of your bank card.  You can choose from our library of images or upload an image of your own.  It’s a quick and easy way to customize your card.

Most MyPictureCards are processed with no additional costs. The best way to find out is to start the card order on the website, and if there are any associated costs, it will be shown on the site. You can always call our office to ask more about how much your customized card will cost.

Your customized card may have a different expiration date, so it is good to check the card once you receive it. If you have set up any recurring withdrawals, you will need to notify the merchant of the change in your expiration date when your card arrives. For accounts with multiple cardholders, a card for each user will be issued when a customized card is requested. This ensures that each cardholder receives a card with the new expiration date.

By uploading photos to MyPictureCard, you are giving permission to use the photograph on the card.  We are not responsible for any loss, damages, liability or costs caused directly or indirectly by the use of the photograph submitted.  The photograph will be submitted for approval and will be stored digitally.

Furthermore, you have the right to allow us to share your submitted image on our website to inspire others with their personalized card. Your image will not be used or given to any other 3rd party for use.

When you’re ready to customize your card, click the “Design My Card” button.  You will be prompted to enter your name and some information to verify who you are and which card you are customizing.  Then you will be able to choose an image or upload your own.  You can preview your image before sending it to get approved.

Card Design

To get the best results, choose an image that follows these guidelines:

  • Use a digital photo that is taken in daylight or with flash photography.
  • Avoid using images taken in low light.
  • Use a high-resolution image, this is very important to make sure it looks nice.
  • Don’t increase the scale of a small picture, as it may result in lower image clarity.
  • An image with a dark background and a light foreground can appear blurry.  Try not to take photos in a low-light room with a flash.
  • Avoid images with text.
  • Preview your photo to see how the final version will print during the submission process.

The photo needs to be a high resolution .JPG, TIFF, or .BMP format.

Use a high-quality image.  The better your image, the better your final card will look. Low-resolution photos, photos that are stretched, and dark photos will not print well. Images should be at least 480 x 480 pixels.

There are a few restrictions to the images you can use.  Examples of unacceptable images include, but are not limited to, images that have:

  • Trademarks, logos, slogans, company names, copyrighted material, or brands of any third party (including abbreviations, acronyms, logos, or related symbols).
  • Advertising or promotional material, or branded products.
  • Celebrities, actors, musicians, cartoons, politicians, professional sports teams, or professional athletes unless you have written permission.
  • Phone numbers, addresses, URL addresses, account numbers, or Personal Identification Numbers (PINS).
  • Images deemed provocative, sexual, violent, or otherwise offensive.
  • Nudity or semi-nudity.
  • Profanity or obscenities.
  • Alcohol, tobacco, firearms.
  • Images that show illegal or anti-social behavior.
  • Culturally insensitive images
  • Images that display the opinions or beliefs of extreme political, religious, or socially unacceptable groups (e.g., gangs, supremacy, etc.).
  • Images that may interfere with the security features of the card.
  • Any image deemed unacceptable by our financial institution.

After you submit your card, you will receive an initial email indicating that it has been received and is being reviewed. If you don't see that email, please check your junk/spam folder. Within 5 business days or less, you will be notified by email if your card was approved or not.

If you need any more information, please feel free to call our office for more information on your card and when it will be sent out for delivery or picked up at the location you selected.

Delivery

The card image you submitted can take up to 5 business days to be approved, then a couple of days to get it printed and delivered by the method you chose during the submission process. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office anytime.

How you pick up your card depends on the options you selected during the submission process. If you selected "mail", it will be mailed to your home address on file. If you selected one of our locations, you will be notified by email when you will be able to pick up your card. Please call our office any time to learn exactly when you will be receiving your personalized card.

If your image does not get approval, please try to customize your card with a different photo that follows our guidelines.  You can also use the images from our library if you are concerned your design won’t be approved.  If you have any questions as to why your image was not approved, please feel free to call our office anytime.

When you receive your new card, make sure to:

  • Activate it as soon as possible (if applicable).
  • Your card number will be the same as your current card.
  • Securely destroy all old cards.
  • If the expiration date on your card has changed, please inform any merchants with whom you have scheduled payments.  This ensures that your payments continue without interruption.

Troubleshooting

Your digital photo needs to be stored on your computer first so you can upload it. During the submission process, you will prompted to browse, or just drag and drop, the photo that is stored on your computer.

If the photo you choose is not uploading, try determining what file type you are using.  The photo needs to be a high-resolution in a JPG,TIFF, or .BMP file format.  Also, check the size of your file. If it is a very large file (like 6,7, 8+ megs), you may need to use a photo tool to make it smaller or compress it.  If you are still having trouble, please call our office for assistance.

Once your photo is submitted, there is an approval time, so it is possible to contact our office to cancel that submission to allow you to resubmit a new card. The best rule to follow is to make sure the image you submit is the one you really want to avoid this situation.

After receiving your card, you can always order another personalized card, but you may need to wait for a period of time for security purposes. If you have any questions, please contact our office at your earliest convenience.

If you need help, you can use the "Get Help" option at the top of the website. That will be submitted directly to our support staff. Otherwise, you can call our office at the number provided on that page as well.

Quick Tip

If you want to customize your card with a photo, make sure to use a high-resolution (300dpi) JPG file.
